
Lucas de Quirós
Lucas de Quirós was a Spanish cartographer and explorer known for his significant contributions to the mapping of South America in the early 17th century. Commissioned by the Viceroy of Peru in 1615, he created a detailed map depicting much of the southern continent, showcasing the era's efforts to understand and document the vast and often mysterious territories of the New World.
