
Lūcija Kleine
Lūcija Kleine was a renowned Latvian sculptor and educator whose life was deeply intertwined with the artistic community of Latvia. Born in a family of artists, she was married to painter Juris Ģērmanis and was the mother of painter Agnija Ģērmane. After graduating from the Latvian State Art Academy in 1963, she dedicated her career to teaching drawing and art history at Ogres Vidusskola and leading an art studio at Ogres Cultural Center. Throughout her life, Kleine was committed to nurturing the next generation of artists, particularly through her work at the Rīgas Pionieru pils. Her contributions to the art education landscape in Latvia were significant, and she is remembered fondly by her peers and students.
