Luis Cerrato

Luis Cerrato was a prominent cattle rancher in Guarizama, Olancho, Honduras. Tragically, he was shot and killed in a targeted attack while driving to one of his properties. The incident occurred on March 27, 2023, when he was ambushed by an assailant on a motorcycle. Known for his contributions to the local agricultural community, Cerrato was the son of the late Héctor Vidal Cerrato Hernández, a respected leader of the Liberal Party in the region. His murder has prompted local authorities to launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crime.
