Luis Ruano

Luis Ruano is the dean of Law at the Universidad Mariano Gálvez in Guatemala. He recently gained attention for his critical stance during discussions of a new internal regulation by the Commission for the Nomination of candidates for the Attorney General's office. Ruano expressed concerns that the approved regulations could jeopardize the presumption of innocence by allowing individuals to raise objections against candidates without firm legal grounding, arguing that this could lead to politically motivated accusations.
