M.Y. is the driver involved in a tragic hit-and-run incident in Eyüpsultan, where he struck Muhammet Gürcan Koçak, who was stopped on the side of the road attempting to repair his UTV. Following the accident, M.Y. fled the scene but was later apprehended at Istanbul Airport. In his initial statement to the police, he claimed he did not see Koçak and believed he had hit a wild animal due to poor visibility from heavy snowfall. He has since been arrested and taken to prison.
