Madame Chiang Kai-shek, born Soong Mei-ling, was an influential political figure and first lady of the Republic of China. She played a significant role in supporting KMT efforts during the Chinese Civil War and later established charitable organizations to aid KMT soldiers and their families, including the Huaxing School for overseas Chinese in Thailand.
