Magomed Gadzhiev

Magomed Gadzhiev is a former member of the State Duma of Russia, representing the United Russia party from 2004 until 2019. Recently, he has been in the news due to a request from the General Prosecutor's Office to classify a group created by his family as an extremist organization and seize their assets valued at over 2 billion rubles. Gadzhiev has faced accusations of supporting hostile foreign states, including Ukraine, and has been reported to have collaborated with Western intelligence agencies while seeking foreign citizenship. He was included in the foreign agents registry by the Ministry of Justice in May 2023 and has been declared wanted by the Russian Interior Ministry for allegedly organizing the murder of a university rector.
