Magomed-Sultan Magomedov
Magomed-Sultan Magomedov is the Secretary of State of Dagestan, having assumed the role in November 2021. He previously served as a member of the regional parliament and as chairman of the People's Assembly. Magomedov has a background in business, having been the general director of Dagnefteprodukt from 1991 to 2005 and continuing to lead the company until 2010 after its privatization. He is affiliated with the United Russia party and is known for founding the Anzhi football club. Recently, he was in the news following his detention in connection with allegations of embezzlement related to privatization deals, as authorities conducted searches at multiple locations linked to him.
