Maira Margarita Morla Pineda has been appointed as the new director general of the Instituto Nacional de Formación Técnico Profesional (Infotep) by President Luis Abinader, bringing over 30 years of experience in various leadership roles within the institute. Her academic credentials include a degree in Accounting from Universidad Dominicana O&M, along with master's degrees in High Management and Education from INTEC, and a postgraduate degree in Technical Education Administration. Morla Pineda has a proven track record of implementing modernization projects in technology and renewable energy, as well as promoting international quality certifications and partnerships with productive sectors both nationally and internationally. She has also represented the Dominican Republic at global forums such as the WorldSkills Assembly.
