
Maria Misyuk
Maria Misyuk is an 18-year-old former political prisoner from Belarus who was arrested at the age of 16 for attempting to establish a youth group called the 'Black Nightingales' aimed at carrying out acts of sabotage to support Ukraine. She was charged under Article 289 of the Belarusian Criminal Code for terrorism in a closed trial, the details of which remain largely undisclosed. Despite facing severe legal repercussions, Maria maintained her stance of innocence even during interviews with state-affiliated media. Recently, she has been released from detention, as Ukraine facilitated her escape from imprisonment.
