Mariera Bosibori

Mariera Bosibori is a vegetable trader from Nyanchwa in Kisii County, Kenya, who became a victim of human trafficking when she was deceived into traveling to Myanmar under the false promise of a lucrative job. Instead of the expected employment in food packing, she was forced into working for 17-hour days in an online cryptocurrency fraud scheme. After enduring severe abuse and exploitation, she was rescued and later awarded Sh7.37 million by a Kisii court for her suffering, marking a significant legal victory in the fight against human trafficking.
