Mark John McNamara is the Chargé d'Affaires ad interim at the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia. He has recently been in the news due to a diplomatic dispute between the United States and Colombia, where U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio called him for urgent consultations regarding the Colombian government's controversial statements about alleged U.S. involvement in a coup against President Gustavo Petro.
