Martín Fernández de Enciso

Martín Fernández de Enciso was a Spanish explorer and conquistador known for founding the settlement of Santa María la Antigua del Darién in 1510, which is recognized as the first diocese on the American mainland. His expeditions contributed significantly to the early Spanish colonization of the Americas.
