Matic Vidic

Matic Vidic is a Slovenian permanent deacon, former professional member of the Slovenian Armed Forces, and a graduate philosopher who has dedicated over seven years to working closely with the Romani community in Žabjak Brezje, near Novo mesto. As a theology professor and psychotherapist, he is committed to addressing local issues and fostering better relations between the Romani and majority populations. Following a recent tragedy that highlighted rising violence in the area, Vidic spoke about the urgent need for increased police presence to restore a sense of safety in the community.
