Maurizio Poggiali

Captain Maurizio Poggiali was a skilled pilot in the Italian Air Force who tragically lost his life in a plane crash on August 8, 1997. He was among the crew of a Siai 208 aircraft that went missing during a training flight near the Parco del Circeo. The incident marked a significant event in Italian aviation history, leading to lengthy legal battles over the causes of the crash and the responsibilities of the military.
