Meritxell Mateu

Meritxell Mateu has been appointed as the new midwife of the quarter in Ordino. She previously held several significant political roles, including Minister of Housing, Higher Education, Research, and Youth from 2005 to 2007, and Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2007 to 2009. Her appointment marks a transition in community leadership, succeeding Roser Calvo, who served in this role since the fall of 2023.
