Michael Lehane

Michael Lehane was a Kerry republican who demonstrated his dedication to the anti-fascist cause by returning to fight in Spain during the Civil War. Unable to wear a British uniform, he joined the Norwegian Merchant Marine and tragically lost his life when his ship was sunk by a U-boat in the North Atlantic.
