Miguel 'Pancho' Talento was a prominent Peronist leader and academic known for his significant involvement in the university reform debates during the turbulent 1970s in Argentina. Born on October 15, 1948, in Buenos Aires, he studied law at the University of Buenos Aires and became a noted advocate for political dialogue and social justice. His dedication to Peronism and student leadership led to his exile in Mexico during the dictatorship. Talento was recognized by the Buenos Aires Legislature as a Distinguished Personality in Political and Social Sciences. He served as the Argentine consul general in Miami in 2008. He passed away at the age of 77, remembered for his unwavering convictions, commitment to dialogue, and his long struggle against ALS, surrounded by the love of family and friends.
