Moses Baker

Moses Baker was a key contributor to the rise of Baptist churches in Jamaica, arriving on the island around the same time as George Liele. Initially an unconverted Anglican, Baker underwent a religious transformation after interactions with enslaved Africans who preached the gospel. Despite facing opposition and challenges, including violence against his ministry, Baker successfully established multiple churches and played a crucial role in advocating for missionary support from England.
