Mr. Joof is the chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), where he plays a vital role in promoting and protecting human rights within the community. He is committed to enhancing the capacity of law enforcement agencies through training initiatives focused on human rights principles, particularly in areas such as Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, International Human Rights Law, and International Humanitarian Law. Under his leadership, the NHRC seeks to strengthen its collaboration with police forces to ensure accountability and effective implementation of human rights standards.
