Mümtazer

Mümtazer is a controversial figure in Turkish politics known for his previous affiliations with the Gülen movement (FETÖ) and his vocal opposition to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Historically, he was an outspoken critic of Erdoğan, believing in the success of the Gülenist agenda during the coup attempt of July 15. Following the failed coup, he faced legal repercussions and spent time in prison before being released. Recently, he has resurfaced in political discussions, employing a 'fitne strategy' aimed at creating discord between Erdoğan and his political ally, Devlet Bahçeli, while continuing to challenge Erdoğan's leadership.
