Natalia Castro Picón
Natalia Castro Picón is a Spanish essayist, poet, and academic born in Menorca in 1989. She currently serves as a professor and researcher at Princeton University. Recently recognized for her critical insights into cultural apocalyptic narratives, she won the prestigious 2025 Anagrama Prize for her debut essay, 'La fiesta del fin del mundo. Apocalipsis cultural en el periodo entre crisis (España, 2008-2023).' Her work examines the impact of economic collapse and neoliberalism on contemporary culture, particularly among those shaped by the crises of the past decade. Castro Picón is also known for her poetic works, including 'La intermitencia de los faros' and 'La misma piedra.'
