Natia Gedenidze
Natia Gedenidze is a prominent Georgian photo editor who was also arrested in 2011 alongside her husband, Iraki Gedenidze, during a crackdown on journalists by the Saakashvili government. She was accused of espionage but was later acquitted in 2018. In 2023, she and her colleagues were awarded compensation for the moral damages inflicted upon them, reflecting the ongoing issues surrounding press rights in Georgia.
