
Zurab Kurtsikidze
Zurab Kurtsikidze is a Georgian photojournalist who gained attention after being wrongfully accused of espionage by the Saakashvili regime in 2011. Along with other journalists, he was arrested for covering the violent dispersal of a protest. In 2018, he was acquitted of all charges, and in 2023, the court recognized the moral damages suffered by him and his colleagues, marking a significant victory for press freedom in Georgia.
