Nawar participated in various protests, including the symbolic march organized by No Es Hora De Callar, where she vividly expressed her identity by marching in high heels. Tragically, Nawar was murdered in May 2025, becoming a victim of transfeminicide, highlighting the ongoing violence against the LGBTIQ+ community in Colombia and the urgent need for systemic changes to ensure their safety and rights.
