
Nelly Sachs
Nelly Sachs (1891-1970) was a German-Jewish poet and playwright who fled Nazi Germany and became a prominent literary figure, receiving the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1966. She was published by Suhrkamp Verlag, where her work gave voice to the Jewish experience during the Holocaust.
