Nicholas Dale

Nicholas Dale was a 56-year-old helicopter pilot from Sooke, British Columbia, who tragically lost his life while fighting the Gold Mountain Fire in Colorado. He was operating a Kaman Aerospace K-1200 helicopter when it crashed into the Silver Jack Reservoir on a mission to combat the wildfire, which had grown significantly in size and was only partially contained. Dale was remembered as a dedicated professional in the aerial firefighting community, leaving behind a wife and two children.
