Nick Mitropoulos was a prominent figure in the Greek-American community, known for his role as a close advisor to Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis during his presidential campaign in 1988. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he had a long and impactful political career, beginning with his involvement in George McGovern's 1972 presidential campaign. A graduate of Boston University and Oxford University, Mitropoulos later served as the executive director of the A. Alfred Taubman Center for State and Local Government at Harvard's Kennedy School.
