Nick Petry

Nick Petry is a dedicated handler for Kora, a highly skilled search and rescue dog based in Tauranga, New Zealand. Together, they form a crucial part of the Land Search and Rescue team, responding 24/7 to assist in locating missing persons. Petry has trained extensively with Kora, a 7-year-old German Shepherd, who has completed over 100 callouts and was previously a police dog trainee. Recently, they were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the community with a $10,000 ASB Good as Gold award. Petry plans to use this award to provide Kora with toys, treats, and a new collar, reflecting his deep bond and commitment to his canine partner.
