Nicolás Augusto Batista Palacios

Nicolás Augusto Batista Palacios has been appointed as the new director of the Panamanian Food Agency (APA) by President José Raúl Mulino, succeeding Alberto Paz Rodríguez. With 25 years of experience in the agro-industrial sector, Batista Palacios has a strong background in supply chain management, financial planning, and international negotiation. He previously served as the Director of Operations at the APA, where he gained extensive knowledge of the agency's structure and functions. His leadership has also focused on implementing quality management systems to ensure food safety.
