Nikita Shatalov
Nikita Shatalov is a member of the Mazhilis, the lower house of the Parliament of Kazakhstan. He recently garnered attention for his strong stance following a drone attack on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), which was acknowledged by Ukraine. Shatalov criticized the decision-makers behind the attack, arguing that it targeted Kazakhstan's economic interests, given that a significant percentage of oil transported through the CPC is sourced from Kazakhstan. He emphasized Kazakhstan's neutral position in the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict and called for accountability for the attack, which he deemed unjustified and detrimental to Kazakh-Ukrainian relations.
