Nikolai Tselesh
Nikolai Tselesh was a Belarusian writer born on July 25, 1900, in the village of Zazerye. He began his literary career in 1929 and published numerous works, including children's stories and essays, and was active in the Belarusian émigré community after fleeing to Germany during World War II. Tselesh settled in the United States in 1949, where he continued to write until he mysteriously disappeared in 1976. Nearly 50 years later, his remains were identified, leading to a funeral on October 24, 2023, at the Church of the Mother of God in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
