Nikolaj Repnin

Nikolaj Repnin was a Russian diplomat and general in the 18th century, best known for his role as the Russian ambassador to Poland. He played a significant part in influencing Polish politics during the reign of Stanisław August Poniatowski, often working to ensure that Russian interests were upheld in the face of Polish reforms and aspirations for greater sovereignty.
