Nisar Ahmad Hassieni

Nisar Ahmad Hassieni is the head of the Elmak Baft company, which employs about 600 women across three carpet weaving workshops in Afghanistan. Following the Taliban's rise to power, he has dedicated his efforts to supporting women left without educational or professional opportunities, providing them with employment in the carpet industry, which is one of the few trades permitted for women under the current regime.
