Oleg Salukov

General Oleg Salukov served as the Commander of the Russian Ground Forces and the Moscow Garrison since 2014, overseeing significant military events including the annual Victory Day parades in Moscow. In 2023, he was appointed as the Deputy Commander of the Joint Group of Forces in Ukraine, reflecting his prominent role in Russia's military operations. Recently, he was relieved from his position as commander of the Ground Forces by President Vladimir Putin, and he will now serve as Deputy to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu in the Security Council.
