Oleksandr Shaptala
Oleksandr Shaptala is a Ukrainian military officer serving as the commander of the 67th mechanized brigade. At only 29 years old, he has rapidly risen through the ranks, previously commanding various units including the 14th, 28th, and 117th brigades. A graduate of the National Academy of Land Forces, Shaptala has extensive frontline experience, participating in significant operations in eastern Ukraine, particularly in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. He is the son of retired General Sergey Shaptala, former Chief of the General Staff of Ukraine, but has emphasized his desire to build his military career on his own merits. Shaptala's leadership is currently focused on strengthening the defense against Russian advances in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
