Olivier Frank

Olivier Frank, born on June 23, 1956, in Luxembourg City, is a prominent figure in the cultural and intellectual landscape of Luxembourg. He studied law and literature in Liège and Bonn, subsequently working as an event organizer and contributing to the Venice Biennale. From 1989 to 1995, he was involved with RTL, a major media outlet in Luxembourg, before taking on the artistic direction of the Luxembourg Philharmonic. Since 2011, he has served as the director of the Institut Pierre Werner, which aims to promote knowledge and culture. Throughout his career, Frank has been an advocate for the importance of critical thinking and intellectual discourse, often commenting on the dangers of censorship and the rise of populism in contemporary society. He is also related to Otto Frank, the father of Anne Frank, who was a significant influence in his life.
