Olzhas Smagulov

Olzhas Smagulov has been appointed as the deputy akim (mayor) of Almaty by Darhan Satybaldy, following his extensive background in public administration and economics. A native of Almaty, Smagulov holds multiple degrees from prestigious institutions including the American Intercontinental University and the London School of Economics. His career began in 2013 and has included significant roles within the Atyrau and Aktobe regions, as well as high-level positions in the Prime Minister's Office. His recent appointment reflects his expertise in economic policy and urban development.
