Ömer Halisdemir
Ömer Halisdemir was a Turkish special forces officer celebrated for his heroic actions during the 15 July 2016 coup attempt in Turkey. He played a pivotal role in thwarting the coup by fatally shooting a key figure among the coup plotters, which significantly changed the course of events that night.
