Oruç Reis

Oruç Reis is a Turkish seismic research vessel known for its significant contributions to underwater exploration and data collection. Recently, it completed a 234-day mission off the coast of Somalia, where it gathered 3D seismic data over an area of 4,464 square kilometers. The vessel is set to return to Turkey for maintenance and is expected to be ready for new assignments by August. Oruç Reis plays a crucial role in evaluating Somalia's maritime jurisdiction, aiding in the future planning of drilling activities based on the data it collected.
