Oscar Han

Oscar Han (1891-1976) was a prominent Romanian sculptor and member of the artistic group known as 'Grupul celor patru.' He is celebrated for his numerous monumental works, including statues honoring significant Romanian figures such as Mihail Kogălniceanu and Constantin Brâncoveanu. Han's career flourished during the interwar period, and he was recognized for his contributions to art with the title of 'Maestru emerit al artei' in 1964, as well as the 'Ordinul Meritul Cultural' in 1968. His legacy endures through his impactful sculptures that grace various cities in Romania.
