Pál Tomori

Pál Tomori was a prominent Hungarian military leader and the Archbishop of Kalocsa during the early 16th century. He played a significant role in the defense of Hungary against the Ottomans and led forces during the Battle of Mohács. His efforts, although ultimately unsuccessful, demonstrated the resistance of Hungarian nobles to Ottoman expansion at a time of political turmoil.
