
Pat Scantlebury
Pat Scantlebury was a pioneering Panamanian baseball player who played in the Negro Leagues and later transitioned to Major League Baseball. He participated in two All-Star Games in 1946, making him one of the early representatives of Panama in professional baseball. Scantlebury is noted for being the second Panamanian to play in the Negro Leagues and eventually debuted in the MLB with the Cincinnati Reds in 1956.
