
Patricio Reyes Landa
Known as 'El Pato', Patricio Reyes Landa was a former member of the criminal group Guerreros Unidos, infamous for his involvement in the 2014 disappearance of 43 students from Ayotzinapa. He was one of the first arrested in relation to the case, where he provided key testimony linking local police and the drug cartel to the students' abduction and murder. Reyes Landa faced multiple legal issues, including allegations of torture regarding his initial confession, and he was released in 2018. He was murdered on June 14, 2024, at his home in Jilotepec, Estado de México.
