Paula Susarte

Paula Susarte is a Chilean photographer who, in 1986, found herself captivated by Alfredo Ovalle during a brief encounter on Ascension Island while on assignment for a magazine. At the time, she was living in Santiago and was excited to photograph the stunning fjords of southern Chile. Their unexpected connection sparked a romance that endured despite the challenges of distance and time. After exchanging letters, the couple reconnected and married three months later, forming a family that cherishes the extraordinary love story that began with a magical moment on a remote island.
