Paulo V

Pope Paul V, born Camillo Borghese in 1550, served as Pope from 1605 until his death in 1621. He is known for his efforts to consolidate the power of the Papacy during the Counter-Reformation, as well as for commissioning the construction of the famous Borghese Gallery in Rome. His papacy also saw significant developments in the realm of art and architecture, with a focus on enhancing the cultural heritage of the Vatican.
