Penelope Levey

Penelope Levey is a student from North Niles High School in Illinois who participated in the '5,000 youths in five years' initiative. During her two-week visit to China, she formed deep connections with new friends in every city she visited, emphasizing the similarities she discovered between American and Chinese cultures. Levey has shared her experiences of meaningful exchanges and the impact of long-standing friendships fostered by initiatives like Xi Jinping's, which encourage American youth to travel to China and build cross-cultural relationships.
