
Peter Munk
Peter Munk was a Hungarian immigrant and the founder of Barrick Gold in 1983, which he built into the world's largest gold mining company. Known for his fierce loyalty to Canada, he was an outspoken critic of foreign takeovers in the Canadian mining sector and passed away in 2018 at the age of 90.
