Pia Dandiya

Pia Dandiya is an Indian-American educator and policy professional who is currently running for Congress in Florida's 22nd District. A former high school principal and technology manager, Dandiya has a rich background in education, having taught in low-income schools and founded a charter high school in Harlem, where she was one of the youngest principals in the U.S. Her experiences include volunteering in New Delhi slums, which fueled her focus on educational equity. Dandiya's campaign emphasizes reducing the cost of living, supporting public education, and advocating for middle-class families. If elected, she would be the first South Asian American to represent Florida in Congress, highlighting the growing influence of the Indian-American community in the state.
