Pilar Valdes is a Filipino chef who has gained recognition for her vibrant culinary style and her journey from a non-profit worker to a celebrated figure in the culinary world, largely thanks to her work on Drew Barrymore's television show. Growing up in Manila, Pilar's passion for cooking was influenced by her mother's culinary skills and the rich flavors of Filipino cuisine. After moving to New York and initially pursuing a career in film and dance, she eventually founded Kickshaw Cookery with a friend, which propelled her into the catering business. Her collaboration with Drew Barrymore has further elevated her profile, leading to the publication of their book 'Rebel Homemaker'.
